Desired skills for the position:

• Specialisation within one of the following profiles:
• A doctor with specialization in internal medicine AND one of the internal medicine subspecialties, AND experience with emergency/acute medicine
• A doctor with double specialization where one of the specialties are for instance anesthesiology and the other one is either internal medicine or emergency medicine
• A doctor with a specialization in general medicine (GP) AND experience from the hospital and emergency sector.
• Specialization within one of the internal medicine subspecialties, for instance cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology etc. AND experience with emergency/acute medicine
• Professional command of English is required
• Motivation for living and working abroad

About the department:
The emergency department in Kolding is looking for a new colleague to join their team of highly specialized doctors and nurses. Kolding hospital, which is a part of the regional hospital Lillebælt, is situated in scenic surroundings near Kolding fjord. At the emergency department, the staff receives and cares for patients with medical, organ surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery and gynecological conditions, who have been referred to the ward from their GP, emergency doctor or the outpatient clinic. The inpatient stay will last 48 hours maximum. After that, the patient is either discharged or transferred to a relevant specialized center. The accident clinics in Fredericia and Middelfart as well as the emergency room in Kolding also belong to the emergency department. The emergency department needs to make sure that the acutely ill patient has only one entry for hospital treatment. The department values quality, patient safety and further education highly.
